Claire Shuai
Originally from Beijing, China, I am an engineer with a PhD obtained in France and have worked in R&D process engineering and the IT industry. I had a passion for drawing at a young age, but had no opportunities to discover and develop that interest and talent after starting post secondary studies. Life then just led me in a different career and journey. Only in 2009, under certain circumstances, I picked up brushes again and found with surprise that passion still deep in me.
As a self-taught artist, currently living in Vancouver, BC, I focus on acrylic painting of abstract, cityscape and floral compositions. Following the natural inspiration and
spontaneity of thought flow, I want to express my sensitivity to colour harmony, using different textures and approaches to reflect the view of the world I see and feel. www.artdazur.ca
