Jennifer Harwood, born in London, Ontario, was raised and now resides in Vancouver. She is primarily self-taught, but has taken classes in drawing, composition and colour through Emily Carr College of Art and Design and the Federation of Canadian Artists. Having had an interest in visual art at a young age, Jennifer took a detour to study and receive a BA in Contemporary Dance from Simon Fraser University. She has performed across Canada and in Vancouver and has had the opportunity to spend time in London, England studying her craft. Jennifer’s next artistic venture led her to a diploma in Graphic Design and work in the real estate industry. Wanting to get back into visual art, she started to get involved with the Vancouver Art Guild and the Federation of Canadian Artists, where she is now an Associate member. The most enjoyable part of painting for her is the experience of putting paint and brush to canvas.
