NORMA JEAN McCALLAN

All Things Glass has been a passionate, lifelong preoccupation of mine.  As a child, I would take a pane of glass from the refrigerator, paint on it, wipe it off and paint on it again. As in the beginning and now, I love to cut, break, melt and fabricate with this medium. My work consists of stained glass windows, mosaics and fused glass objects. I have always found something magical in the process of executing a piece from design concept to final polishing, all the while, pushing  the boundaries to see what else I could do with this material. I relish experimenting with combinations of textures, colours or techniques. 

I have participated in several group shows and currently sell my work at Granville Island Public Market and Arts off Main.
