Artist's Bio
Sheron Meyer is a Canadian artist based in Vancouver whose work resonates with colour and expressive gesture. Influenced by music, poetry, and the sensory and meditative qualities of nature, each work is a vignette of passion and perception. Her paintings explore the intimacy between the subject and the aromatic, combining veils of colour, texture, and movement until the works begin to reveal themselves. Twenty years old and freshly graduated from Lakehead University, she drove across the country for a short holiday in BC and, apparently, forgot to leave. She decided to attend the Victoria College of Art, as she had always had a knack for drawing. Over the years her study in arts and design continued with courses at the University of Victoria and the Emily Carr College of Art. She continues to develop her painting skills in private study with Anita Nairne. Acrylic paints are Cindy-Wynne’s medium of choice. Her intuitive forays into her inner world start out as abstract art backgrounds. What develops from there is always a surprise. Her deepest feelings and playful nature flow through her hands and embody her work. Her paintings bring positive energy into any environment in which they hang. Cindy-Wynne worked as a graphic designer/assistant editor at the University of British Columbia. Currently, as a yoga therapist, energy-healing practitioner and qigong teacher, she loves to promote creative self-healing in her complementary business, Conscious Moments. |
